Abstract:

The quality of the final products of the aerobic degradation of organic matter is particularly important to environmental safety and it is advisable to examine a wide set of reliable indicators as a means of measuring the degree of stability and maturity of the end products of composting. The speed at which certain quality indices are reached could be used to identify the optimum time for composting. The final product shall not contain any organic or inorganic contaminants and shall be safe for vegetation.
